The manual blending technique works really well. You've struck a fine balance between keeping the detail and preserving the light and shadow. I only wish more people would do this.

The scene itself looks like something out of silent hill. It's all the more spooky because its so easy to recognise.

The first floor area looks a little strange to me, the stair rail and the doorway are a very similar shade of gray which makes it look strangely flat. As though it was very dark and you'd turned the brightness way up in Photoshop.
